Factors Affecting e-Government Adoption by Dairy Farmers: A Case Study in the North-West of Spain

With the objective of assessing farmers’ situation regarding use ICT and their relations with electronic government, a case study consisting in realization 34 face-to-face surveys was conducted between February March 2020 dairy farms region Galicia (Spain). The sample selected according to one most important online journals farming sector at national level. From census, we chose those considered representative taking into account main criteria: level PAC (Common Agrarian Politics) subsidies milk production (litres/cow year). results show that majority farmers used internet, but on many an occasion, they were discontented relation poor connection quality farms. In regard government for procedures related farms, them able perform through website; however, there which users defined as “complex” had be outsourced authorised entities. also do want employ e-government, mainly because time cost saving; current web pages not meet users’ expectations. Finally, this situation, applied placed among 10 productive regions milk, is comparable what happens other regions.
